Christmas time is coming, and these months are full of events, craft markets and activities for all the family. MALAGA:

One of the biggest winter events in Malaga is the switched on of the Christmas lights. The city has been chosen in several occasions as one of the best Christmas lights in Spain. Its more than 600.000 led lights in Larios streets will switch on and off at the rhythm of the music. Light and sound shows at 18.30 and 21.30 every day from the 30th of November.

MARBELLA:

When the weather cool down all the streets are full of winter scents as the roasted chestnuts. If you are a fan of this food and you like nature, you must go to the Toston. This celebration that takes place the next 4th of November among the streets of the charming village of Ojen and other villages of the Serrania de Ronda. It starts at  9.30 with various activities as hiking, chestnuts roastings, taste of liquors, oils, crafts…. ¡not to forget music and games for all the family!

Halloween is becoming very popular in the Costa Del Sol, and all bars and pubs celebrate costume parties. If you want to join a different kind of Halloween party in Marbella, go to Posidonia Restaurant in Puerto Banus. Enjoy some live Latin music in “El dia de los Muertos”! Starting at 20.30

Food lovers can enjoy the “ruta de la tapa” in the city center. Many restaurants will offer drink and tapa for only 3€. If you complete your “tapassport” you can vote for your favorite tapa and get a prize in the Townhall of Marbella!

If you are looking for street markets, every Monday in the neighborhood of Las Albarizas is celebrated an open-air market with more than 360 stalls with all kinds of products, from local fruits to handicrafts. On Saturdays you can also attend a market focused on crafts and textiles in Nueva Andalucia, next to Centro Plaza. Sundays the Crafts Markets takes place in the Sports harbour of Marbella, next to the Paseo Marítimo. It starts at 11 until sundown. There are many craftshops, animations, expositions, or even books exchanges!

For golf lovers, the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de España Femenino will be held in La Quinta Golf & Country club from the 22nd until the 25th of November.

FUENGIROLA:
Sport lovers, save the date! The III Fuengirola half marathon will be held on the 4th of November. Everybody is welcome to join the 21km urban race that will start at 10.00.
