If you are staying in the Costa del Sol the first weekend of May, and you wonder about what to do in Marbella and its surroundings, it’s your lucky day! The international Feria de los pueblos of Fuengirola is held from the 27 April until the 1st of May.
This is one of the biggest events taking part in Fuengirola, and it gathers more than 100.000 visitors each year. In this fair, more than 30 different countries present their culture and gastronomy to every guest.
A wide range of foods and activities can be found within the “Casetas”. Do you fancy some flavorful samosas straight from India, or delicate Turkish desserts accompanied by a belly dancing show that will make you dream of the Arabian nights? Just walk a few meters and discover a new country each time! No plane or long trips needed.
Furthermore, this “tour around the world” is not only easy but also very cheap. The entrance to the event is totally free, and you will only pay for what you decide to eat.
Each country has its own traditional shows as national dances, live music, and various spectacles that will leave you speechless. Traveling never was so easy! Besides in this new edition of 2018, new countries as Puerto Rico, South Africa or Ucrain have joined, broadening even more the reach of this edition.
All nationalities will take part in a parade on Saturday 28th of April. Don’t miss the display of colorful dresses, foreign dances and exotic music! More activities will be performed during the four days of this festival.
