The sale of apartments increased by 8.7% in September

The average amount of mortgages amounted to 134,838 euros, 6.1% more.

Home sales continues to grow and is thanks to the second-hand housing. According to the latest report of the General Council of Notaries, the sale of homes of September stood at 30,328 transactions, representing an increase of 8.7%. The purchases grow, but still well below pre-crisis figures.

In terms of average price per square meter of the homes purchased in September it was 1,242 euros, reflecting a slight increase of 1.7%. The cost per square meter of housing is due both to increased price per square meter of apartments (+ 2.7%) and the increase in the price of single-family homes (2.3%).

Another important fact is that in September, the sale of other real estate operations stood at 7,394, up 11.8%, of which 42.6% were for solar fields. The average price per square meter of these transactions amounted to 201 euros, representing a fall of 5.7% yoy.
